Heavy Ladened

"I thank you Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to those who seek you; yes Father fur such was your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father, anon one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone whom the Son chooses to reveal Him. Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. The my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matthew 11:25-30

woman sitting on bench over viewing mountain

tired & sore, burdened

limited to our own circumstances in our minds

pushing through

only to exhaust ourselves more

why do we position ourselves

to such lengths of degree

extending the line of reality and fantasy

when does it expire

dissipating into the atmosphere

only to suck any life left

leaving us hopeless- surrounded

by the enemies we so desperately fought

within our own strengths

our own desires- thinking it will change

in one miraculous moment

because they see these useless efforts

they see how we beat our chests- & cry out

yet no one is there with compassion

only patiently waiting to devour

on the thickness of our flesh

the plumpness of our pride and self-righteousness

sucking all the dreaded blood & life source until were about

to take our last breath

then

we open our eyes

seek His face

take His hand

learning how to really live

surrendered

giving Him our burden

to finally find rest

from our tired & sore burdens
