There’s a difference between knowing about God and actually knowing Him.
For years, I lived what I thought was a “Christian life.” I went to church, I prayed, I believed the stories. But I was trapped in a cycle—sinning, apologizing, repeating—and I didn’t even realize how distant my heart had become from the One I claimed to follow.
That distance led me into a spiral. I made choices that broke my spirit. I entered relationships that mirrored my brokenness. I carried guilt that was never meant for me to hold. I worked endlessly trying to prove my worth while quietly dying inside.
But even in the darkest places, God never stopped reaching for me and kept calling for me to turn.
He reached through the embrace of my daughter—the hug that reminded me love still existed.
He reached through the stars on a quiet night when gratitude finally broke through my anger.
He reached through His Word, transforming it from printed ink into a weapon that silenced the lies I’d believed for years.
And one day, He spoke words that changed everything:
“If you do not leave now, you will never be able to.”
It was the moment I realized I was fighting a spiritual battle, not just an emotional one. By His strength, I walked away—from destruction, deception, and the identity that wasn’t mine to carry- ever.
I finally made my turning point.
The day my story shifted from survival to freedom.
The day I stopped performing faith and started living in it.
If you’re in a place where the cycle feels endless, please know this: God hasn’t forgotten you.
He’s not waiting for you to fix yourself—He’s waiting for you to turn towards Him.
The turning point isn’t the end of your story—it’s the beginning of His.
Scriptures to Reflect On:
Ephesians 6:12 – “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood…”
2 Corinthians 5:17 – “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation…”
John 8:36 – “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
Your Turning Point:
Take time this week to reflect on your own turning points—moments where God was quietly working behind the scenes, even when life felt unbearable.
Write them down. Name them. Because what once felt like your undoing might become your greatest testimony.
