Are There Skeletons In The Closet?

Today, in Life Reassembled- we cover the hidden secrets behind what some christian households allow. We uncover the skeletons that linger behind those we trust in authority and expose the darkness with light. I grew up in church, and understand why we get labeled as hypocrites- because sometimes WE ARE! And we trust people who don't have discernment to lead us in the same direction they are going. We can no longer have the blind leading the blind. We need to open our eyes and guide those who are lost into the light.

When the Blind Lead The Blind

Let's talk about it. Secrets in the Church and skeletons in the church closet. The bible warns us about wolves in sheep's clothing but we often don't know what to look for. A lot of the time, we solely rely on our pastors to teach us the bible, we check off our box in heaven that we made it to church, and we don't pick up our bibles until next Sunday. It's not a habit to seek God on our own time. Which by the way, the devil is okay with. Because if he can confuse our pastor, then the church is also lead down a destructive path. We have to remember that our pastors are not God, they are human just like us. Yes, our pastors struggle with sin and temptation. I'm not saying to stop going to church and challenge your pastor, unless God leads you to do so and find a new church. But I am going to encourage you to test what your pastor is preaching by doing your own biblical studies. Not only is it good for your soul, it's necessary.

The Hidden Secrets We Don't Talk About

How do we spot a false prophet? First know your word. You have to take what was preached, and do your own dive into it. Taking notes isn't just to retain information, it's to also apply it to your daily living. So, take notes during your pastor's sermon and then study those notes at home! Another way we can notice if our pastor isn't in alignment, is by their fruits in the church. Matthew 7:16, "By their fruit you will recognize them." We can only understand good fruit by first obtaining it. Look around your church. Does the theme match scripture? Does it honor God? Or does it glorify the pastor and the church? What is worship like? Does it glorify the musicians or God? Is it moved by emotion instead of the Holy spirit? Also check your own fruits. Are you judgmental? Are you filled with unrighteous anger and hate? Do you turn a def ear to the needy? What habits do you have that don't reflect Jesus's character?

When Trust Replaces Dicernment

If the devil is not threatened by your life style, he will leave you alone. He will be the first to notice when God is moving in your life and if your life seems easy, your doing something wrong! Not to say life is hard, but because spiritual warfare is for the righteous, we need to make sure we are in alignment with God ourselves. Again, if there is no spiritual warfare and life seems comfortable, the devil is playing his hand somewhere and it is our responsibility to find what it is and repent. James 1:2 tells us, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds" A lot churches today want to play it safe and sometimes in doing so, inadvertently participate in witchcraft without even knowing it, and that is an open door in our lives when we participate. Sin itself is witchcraft. Where there is sin, there is witchcraft and if satan can get you to practice without even knowing, then you have fell into the trap of compromise my friend.

Hypocricy In The Church

To be lead by a pastor who is still in thier sin, is to follow a hypocrite. Which turns us into hypocrits. And this is why so many people are good on believing in Jesus, but not following Him; hence why christians are made fun of to this day. Because we do not love the way Jesus did and we do not practice what we preach. Take a stand today to know your identity through Christ, and to understand how to mimic His unfailing love. 1 John 4:8, "Whoever does not love, does not know God, because God is love."
